Theatre Department Depicts the Literary Classic ‘Grapes of Wrath'

The theatre department will present John Steinbeck's classic "The Grapes of Wrath" on Nov. 13, 14, 19, 20, 21 and 22. The play is about a family's pursuit of a better life during the Depression. The Joads leave the Oklahoma dust bowl for California's bounty but instead discover inequality, violence and hardship.

$1 Million Endowment to Benefit Lyle Center

The Stuart J. Sperber Endowed Chair/Faculty Fellowship for Sustainable Systems has been established in memory of the College of Agriculture alumnus. The endowment will support the John T. Lyle Center for Regenerative Studies and research on environmental sustainability.

Due to cuts in state support, Cal Poly Pomona will be closed an average of two days per month from Aug. 1 through June 30, 2010. Class schedules will not change, but most administrative offices will be closed. University Police remains fully staffed.
